Sections

As a San Joaquin County Bar Association member, you can also join one of our five special interest sections:

• Barristers (lawyers with less than 5 years practicing law)
• Business Litigation
• Family Law
• Law Practice Management and Technology (combined from Information Technology Section (”InfoTech”) and the Website Committee)
• Paralegals
• Women Lawyers

Each of the sections' Executive Committees meets monthly at noon; Barristers meets at Herum/Crabtree at 2291 W March Lane Suite B 100, Stockton, CA; the rest meet in the Bar offices at 20 N Sutter Street, Suite 300, Stockton.

This group of each Section decides what events the Section will hold or causes it will support. Each year each section holds an Annual Meeting of all members when they elect their Executive Committee members. If you want to get involved in Section leadership, be sure to put your name up in time for elections at the Annual Meeting(s) and contact the chairperson to volunteer to fill any vacancies during the year or to work on section projects.
