to be included in the file. No other format will be accepted. If you need to make a pdf of the file, you can download free software from the web that will convert most word processing files to a pdf.
Be sure to include:
- Contact information
- Work, educational experience, and/or certification/degrees
- Any special skills (i.e. shorthand, Notary, etc.)
Please also include a short summary of your interest that can be provided to attorneys seeking help, also as a pdf. This summary should include:
- The area of law as a title
- The hours you're available
- The areas of law in which you are skilled or want to work
- How much notice you need
For example:
Estate Planning Paralegal
Experienced paralegal in all areas of the law seeking contract work in estate planning; can work weekday mornings from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m.
or
Transactional Secretary
Experienced legal secretary seeking transactional work; have prepared contracts, purchase & sale agreements; marital dissolution settlements; available weekday afternoons from noon to 4:30 p.m.
Do NOT include your Social Security Number or a photograph. Resumes will be retained for the calendar year, so calendar submission of an updated resume for each January.
