The SJCBA's Program Committee operates several regular events during the year. Primarily for SJCBA members, some events include public activities. Our regular events:

Law Day Luncheon at Stockton Golf & Country Club, Stockton honoring the Hon. Barbara Kronlund as the recipient of the Law Day Award and featuring attorney and television screen writer, Jonathan Shapiro, Esq., as our keynote speaker. Mr. Shapiro has written or produced such shows as Boston Legal, The Practice, Justice, Just Legal & Life among other television and/or movie films. See his biography on USC's website, where he is a professor.

If you're a 8th grade teacher who wants their students to participate in Law Day, the student events consist of:
- Teleconference with prision inmates
- Superior Court Presentation

Any 8th grade student may participate by entering a Poster Contest and/or an Essay Contest, with cash or other prizes (to be determined) to be awarded to 1st through 3rd place winners.
