Committees

The Dispute Resolution Services Committee of the SJC Bar Foundation provides oversight and guidance to Dispute Resolution Services of the San Joaquin County Bar Foundation (DRS). DRS began operations on June 2, 2014, to provide the following services:

  1. Free small claims advising services to the public via phone, e-mail, and in-person clinics
  2. Community mediation services for small claims, unlawful detainer, and civil harassment cases both in and out of court

DRS also provides mediation education and training that complies with the Dispute Resolution Programs Act of 1986 and prepares volunteers to provide mediation services to the public.
