The SJCBA presents a Masters Series MCLE: Answers to Die for: Probate Law Update 2022 on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at noon via Zoom.  This program qualifies for one (1.0) hour of General Requirement Credit.  All attendees must be registered one day in advance.  If you are attending via Zoom, meeting information will be provided to you the morning of the event.

Program Description: The Honorable Elizabeth Humphreys, Sabrina Schneweis-Coe, and Kerry Krueger will give our annual probate update for trust and estate practitioners. The program will explore new statues, rules and cases you need to know.

Elizabeth Humphreys has been a judge with the Superior Court of San Joaquin County since 2002.  Prior to that she was a partner with the law firm of Kroloff, Belcher, Smart, Perry & Christopherson.  She is a graduate of Bucknell University and McGeorge School of Law. She was on the faculty at the Lawrence Drivon School of Law from 2002 through 2008.  Among her other achievements, she was a Susan B. Anthony Award Recipient. 

Sabrina Schneweis-Coe is the supervising probate attorney in San Joaquin County’s probate department. Before that position, she had her own practice where she focused on the area of trusts and estate administration, probate, conservatorships, trusts and special needs planning, and business planning. She is also a certified legal specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law.

Kerry L. Krueger is a partner with the Kroloff, Belcher, Smart, Perry & Christopherson law firm.  Ms. Krueger has a litigation background practicing in the areas of business litigation, employment litigation, trust litigation, elder abuse and medical malpractice litigation, and construction and property disputes.  She also provides legal advice to clients in the areas of employment law, business law, and estate planning.  She represents large and small employers including hospitals, physicians groups, large and small construction companies, trucking companies, restaurant owners and local and regional commercial business in wrongful termination, harassment and general liability litigation.  She received her B.A. from Western Washington University, her M.A. from Miami University, and her J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
