San Joaquin County Bar Association presents a MCLE: Everything You Need to Know About Common Unlawful Detainers on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 12:00p - 1:15p at the San Joaquin County Bar Association (6 S. El Dorado St., Ste 315). This program will be presented twice - Tuesday, May 24, 2022 and Wednesday, June 1, 2022, with a maximum registration of 15 attendees. Please register for one date only. This program qualifies for one (1.0) hour of General Requirement Credit*. All attendees must be registered one hour in advance.

Program Description: Evictions are serious. Unlawful Detainer procedures are strictly enforced by the Courts. Advocates for Landlords and Tenants must know the latest information to assure the process runs smoothly for all parties.
This lunch program reviews the latest changes to California’s Unlawful Detainer law - including the issues of Notice and Timing - that frequently trip-up litigants.
Presenter(s): Hon. Erin Guy Castillo, Judge, San Joaquin County Superior Court - Hon. Guy Castillo hears Unlawful Detainer actions brought by property owners against tenants in San Joaquin County. She previously served as a court commissioner in the Superior Court of San Joaquin County, Stockton Branch, for two years. Her private practice focused on civil litigation, successfully representing clients in jury and court trials.
