The SJCBA presents a Masters Series MCLE: Alcoholism and a Law Practice: A Local Case History on Monday, January 11 at noon via Zoom. This program qualifies for one (1.0) hour of Substance Abuse Requirement Credit. The Zoom meeting information will be provided to you the morning of the event. All attendees must be registered one day in advance. This program is FREE to all current SJCBA Members - contact Jennifer Riggs to receive a promo code.

Mr. Connolly will give us his personal account of his brother’s descent into alcoholism and how it destroyed him, his family and his law practice. He will relate his experiences and the lessons to be learned from that tragic story.  Mr. Connolly will cover the warning signs of alcoholism, one’s gradual descent into dependency, interventions, State Bar disciplinary actions,  judicial interactions and interactions with other lawyers, the reaction and adaption of the lawyer’s employees, impacts on clients, and the ultimate outcome – which, sadly, was his brother’s death.
