From the “don’t let this happen to you” files, two seasoned appellate specialists focus on appellate court reprimands of attorneys whose inattention to the rules attracted the wrong kind of attention. The errors and omissions that drew judicial fire include such transgressions as failing to perfect a useable record on appeal and failing to follow rules governing appellate briefing. Presenters Tony J. Tanke and Thomas H. Keeling bring experience and perspective that should help San Joaquin County attorneys avoid such problems.
